Difference between "not on the menu" and "not in this release".  We understand the value of this feature to all of our developers as it opens up, as you mention, a very large potential group of users.  The effort required to support OpenID grew out of scope to get into this release. There are technical hurdles that made the implementation more complex than we originally anticipated and the developer tasked to work on it has been reassigned to finish off tasks that support the new Bungee Application Server.  I can't give a specific release that we'll get Open ID support in, but it's important to us.
