Funny this comes up again. I attended a GotoMeeting yesterday morning. Wow. If only they had a Linux client .
Seriously though, I'd rather go find a Windows PC (like the one in our conference room) then suffer through more WebEx, at least until you can find a good cross-platform alternative.
I used the same computer for both that meeting and the JumpCast, and made the following observations:
GotoMeeting opened to a shared desktop session in less than 1 minute. WebEx took 12, failed, and 2 more to restart. Neither software was preinstalled on the machine.
I could see keystrokes appear on screen while I could hear the presenters key-clacks over the phone. I don't think I need to comment on WebEx's (lack of) syncronicity.
BTW, tell the MegaMeeting sales guys to stop calling me now . Ugh. 'Insistent' doesn't do them justice.
